Polar Ship Certificate - Record of Equipment
The Record of Equipment for the Polar Ship Certificate must be attached to the certificate. It lists the particulars of the ship, including the ship name and its distinctive numbers or letters.
The Record of Equipment also lists:
- Lifesaving appliances
- Number of immersion suits with insulation
- Number of thermal protective aids
- Personal and group survival equipment onboard
- Navigation equipment
- Two independent echo-sounding devices or two separate independent transducers
- Search lights
- Manual flashing red light
- Multiple non-magnetic ways to determine and display heading
- GNSS compass or equivalent
- Communication Equipment
- Sound signaling equipment
- Voice or data communications
- Appropriate communication transmission devices for survival crafts
The Record of Equipment needs to also be signed, dated, and stamped or sealed.
