Class 7 - Classification
Radioactive material means any material containing radionuclides where both the activity concentration and the total activity in the consignment exceed the values specified in the regulations.
Radioactive materials are grouped into six categories based on their form or characteristics. These categories include:
- Special form
- Low specific activity (LSA)
- Surface contaminated object (SCO)
- Fissile
- Low dispersible radioactive material
- Other form
Radioactive material must be assigned the proper shipping name and UN number.
