DOTHMR

The label required for a specific hazardous material is identified in Column 6 of the Hazardous Materials Table (HMT) and outlined in 49 CFR §172, Subpart E. Some materials have more than one code listed in the HMT. When this occurs, the first code signifies the primary hazard, and any additional codes indicate the subsidiary hazards. You must display the appropriate hazard class or division number in the lower corner of both primary and subsidiary hazard labels.
