HAZMAT Shipping Labels - Class 9 Miscellaneous

The Class 9 hazard label has a white background with seven vertical stripes printed in black on the upper half of the label. The word "Miscellaneous" may be printed on the lower half of the label.

A lithium battery handling label must be used if the packages containing lithium batteries meet the requirements. The label must show "Lithium metal batteries," "Lithium ion batteries," or both, as applicable, and a telephone number to call for additional information.

The border of the label must have red diagonal hatchings, and the text and symbols are printed in black.

A magnetized material handling label must be used on all packages and overpacks containing magnetized material. This label is printed in blue on a white background. The image shows a magnet affecting a compass. Below the image, the following text is displayed: Magnetized Material Keep Away from Aircraft Compass Detector Unit.
