IATA Labeling
The following handling labels may be required, as indicated in Subsection 7.2.4 of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations:
- Magnetized Material - Required for all packages and overpacks containing magnetized material
- Cargo Aircraft Only - Required for all packages containing dangerous goods that are permitted only on cargo aircrafts; must be affixed on the same surface of the package near the hazard label
- Cryogenic Liquids - Required for all packages and overpacks containing cryogenic liquids, in addition to the Non-flammable gas (Division 2.2) hazard label
- Package Orientation - Required to be used on combination packagings and overpacks containing liquid dangerous goods; see Subsection 7.2.4.4 of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations for exceptions
- Keep Away from Heat - Required on all packages and overpacks containing self-reactive substances in Division 4.1 and Division 5.2, Organic Peroxides, in addition to the applicable hazard label
- Radioactive Material, Excepted Package - Required on all excepted packages of radioactive material
- Lithium Battery - Required on all packages containing lithium batteries that meet the requirements of Section IB of Packing Instruction 965 and 968 and of Section II of Packing Instructions 965 to 970; these labels are discussed in more detail in the Class 9 - Lithium Battery training module
