IMDG Code, Bulk Container Codes
The last chapter in Part 4 of the DGL addresses the use of bulk containers. This short section provides general requirements applicable to the use of containers for the transport of solid substances in bulk. Three "bulk container code" designations may be found under the Tank Instructions column (13) of the DGL as follows:
- BK1 - Substance may be transported in sheeted bulk containers.
- BK2 - Substance may be transported in closed bulk containers.
- BK3 - Substance may be transported in flexible bulk containers.
