Canada Road & Rail Transport - Carrier Responsibility for Safety Marks

The carrier of dangerous goods has the following responsibilities with regard to dangerous goods safety marks:

  • Ensure that the required safety marks remain displayed on the small means of containment while the dangerous goods are in transport
  • Display the required safety marks on the large means of containment and ensure that the safety marks remain displayed while the dangerous goods are in transport
  • Provide and display, or remove, the safety marks if the requirements for the safety marks change while the dangerous goods are in transport
