Respirator Evaluation Follow-Up Procedures

Follow-up medical examinations are sometimes required after the initial respirator evaluation. This occurs when an employee answers "yes" to any of Questions 1 through 8 of Section 2, Part A of the medical questionnaire you just reviewed. This is also required when an employee's medical examination "demonstrates the need for a follow-up."

This examination involves "any medical tests, consultations, or diagnostic procedures that the PLHCP deems necessary to make a final determination."
