Safety Data Sheets, Section 1

Section 1, titled "Identification," includes the following information:

• The chemical that is discussed in the SDS
• The chemical's recommended uses

Section 1 also provides the following supplier-provided information about the chemical:

• The product identifier from the label
• Any other common names or synonyms used for the substance
• The name, address, and phone number of the manufacturer, distributor, or importer
• The emergency phone number of the manufacturer, distributor, or importer
• The recommended use of the chemical (for example, a description of the chemical's purpose, such as being a flame retardant, a sealant, or a glue)
• Any restrictions for use (including recommendations given by the manufacturer or supplier)
