Safety Data Sheets, Section 14
Section 14 of a Safety Data Sheet is titled "Transport Information." It provides information on transporting the chemical (shipping) by road, rail, air, and sea.
This section is optional. When this section is included in an SDS, it may include the following information:
- The United Nations (UN) number
- The UN proper shipping name
- Transport hazard class (or classes)
- Packing group number (if applicable) based on the degree of hazard
- Environmental hazards
- Information about transportation of the chemical in bulk
- Any special precautions employee should know of or comply with, including information about transport or carrying of products on the workplace premises or outside of it
