Temporary Workplace Sanitation - General Requirements
General requirements for temporary workplace sanitation are as follows:
- There must be at least 100 square feet per person for all rooms where workers cook, live, and sleep.
- All service buildings must have equipment which allows for a maintained minimum temperature of 70° F.
- There must be sanitary facilities for preparing and storing food.
- All heating, cooking, and water heating equipment must be installed "in accordance with state and local ordinances, codes, and regulations governing such installations."
- If the camp is in use during cold weather, there must be adequate heating equipment.
- All service buildings must be kept clean.
