HAZWOPER Facility
In the OSHA standards, the term "facility" can include any of the following items or physical environments:
- Buildings
- Structures
- Equipment
- Pipes or pipelines (including any pipe into a sewer or publicly owned treatment works)
- Wells
- Pits
- Ponds
- Lagoons
- Impoundments
- Ditches
- Storage containers
- Motor vehicles
- Rolling stocks (for example, materials located on a truck)
- Aircrafts
A facility can also be an area where hazardous substances are deposited, stored, disposed of, placed, or otherwise located.
A facility does not include the following items:
- Consumer products
- Water-borne vessels
