Step 6. Evaluate and reassess your program.

The HCS does not require employers to evaluate and reassess their hazard communication program within specific timeframes. However, the hazard communication program must be current and relevant and include all current chemicals and hazards.

Employers must review their hazard communication program periodically to make sure it is still working and meeting its objectives. They must revise the program as needed in order to address changing conditions in the workplace (for example, new chemicals or equipment are being used).
