Action Item 3: Allocate resources. Resources refer to equipment, supplies, tools, training, consultations, or more, depending on the workplace.
Management can allocate resources through the following actions:
- Providing all resources needed to establish and implement the program
- Allowing time in workers' schedules to complete the tasks assigned to them in relation to worker safety and health
- Including safety and health funds in the budget and ensuring that there are funds for the tools, resources, and training needed
- Directly providing the resources needed to implement, operate, and maintain the program
