NFPA - Red Diamond

The upper diamond is red and indicates flammability hazards. Numbers 0 through 4 are broken down as follows:

0 - Materials will not burn under normal conditions.

1 - Materials that will require significant and extended exposure before ignition or combustion occurs with a flashpoint above 200 °F.

2 - Materials that must be heated moderately before ignition or combustion occurs with a flashpoint between 100 °F and 200 °F.

3 - Materials, both liquids and solids, that can be ignited under normal conditions with a flashpoint between 73 and 100 °F and a boiling point at 100 °F or above.

4- Materials that will vaporize rapidly or completely at normal conditions and those with a flash point below 73 °F.
