Exiting

You must exit the space immediately if any of the following things happen:

• The attendant or supervisor orders you to evacuate.
• There is a warning sign of a dangerous situation. This could include symptoms of exposure to a dangerous chemical, or warning signs that a wall might collapse.
• You detect a prohibited condition.
• An evacuation alarm is activated.

Please note that your monitoring equipment is supposed to be armed with an alarm, and you should also have flood sensors if you are working in a flood-hazard area, such as a storm drain. Providing this equipment is your employer's duty.

It is your employer's responsibility to make sure you understand all the foregoing safe exit requirements and carry them out.
