Preliminary Evaluation - Breathing Apparatus

If the preliminary evaluation determines that employees must use a breathing apparatus, then during the initial site entry, employees must wear a self-contained breathing apparatus that supplies a minimum of five minutes of air.

Note that employees do not have to use this emergency apparatus if they are already using a positive-pressure, self-contained breathing apparatus.
