Site Control Program - Exclusion Zone Access Control Points
Employers should establish Access Control Points at the periphery of the Exclusion Zone. These will control the flow of personnel and equipment in and out of the zone; these Access Control Points will also help to verify that employees follow the proper procedures for entering and exiting the zone.
When possible, employers should set up separate entrances and exits for personnel and equipment entering and exiting the Exclusion Zone. Employers may also subdivide the zone into different areas of contamination based on the known or expected type of hazard, the degree of hazard, or the incompatibility of waste streams.
