Site Control Program - Identification of Medical Assistance

29 CFR 1910.120(d)(3), titled "Elements of the Site Control Program," states the requirements for a site control program. In addition to stating the need for a site map, site work zones, site communications, and a buddy system (each of which you learn about in this unit), this standard states that the site control program must include "identification of the nearest medical assistance."

Therefore, employers must ensure that all personnel can locate the nearest medical assistance. OSHA does not define who this person must be or how to identify this person.
