Hearing Conservation Program - Hearing Protection

Part of a Hearing Conservation Program is hearing protection, which commonly includes ear plugs and earmuffs. Hearing protection must be made available to all employees exposed to an 8-hour TWA of 85 dBA or more. It is mandatory for those who have already experienced hearing loss (defined as a "standard Threshold Shift" in the OSHA standard).

Note that the package will show the hearing protector's attenuation capacity as a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR). Proper fit is incredibly important for this gear.
