Change Rooms

The OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.142 details everything you have learned thus far in this section, but it does not cover change rooms. 29 CFR 1910.141 details change rooms, which are areas to change in or out of protective clothing. OSHA states the following in regard to change rooms:

"Whenever employees are required by a particular standard to wear protective clothing because of the possibility of contamination with toxic materials, change rooms equipped with storage facilities for street clothes and separate storage facilities for the protective clothing shall be provided."

Standard 1915 ("General Working Conditions") contains 1915.82 ("Lighting") which states that there must be a minimum of 10 lumens (foot-candles) for changing rooms.
