General Requirements - First Aid

Every labor camp must have "adequate first aid facilities approved by a health authority." (The standard does not define adequate, nor does it define the health authority or how this person approves these first aid facilities.) This facility (or facilities) must be maintained by employers and must be available for the emergency treatment of the injured.

A person who is trained to administer first aid will be in charge of these facilities. These facilities must be readily accessible at all times, not just working hours. (The standard does not provide information regarding how to determine who is trained to administer first aid.)
