Decontamination Methods - Chemical Removal - Surfactants
Surfactants reduce the adhesion between contaminants and the surface that is contaminated. This prevents a redeposit of contaminants on the surface.
The most common surfactants are household detergents. Some of these detergents are used with organic solvents: this improves the contaminants' ability to dissolve and disperse into the solvent.
