United States Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration (DOT and FHWA)
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is an agency within the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) that supports state and local governments in the design, construction, and maintenance of the nation's highway system and other federal- and tribal-owned lands. The FHWA is responsible for making sure the nation's roads and highways are safe and technologically sound.
