Mists
Mists are tiny droplets of liquid suspended in the air. Mists are measured as a concentration of airborne particles in a given space and are expressed in either milligrams or micrograms per cubic meter of air (mg/m3 or µg/m3). Examples of mists found in construction include oil mists produced from lubricants, paint mists from spraying operations, pesticides, and aerosols.
OSHA requires washing facilities in proximity to any work site where employees are engaged in the application of paints, coatings, pesticides, and any other hazardous mist.
