Injury Response
OSHA requires that employers be prepared for medical emergencies. Requirements state that employers must make sure that medical personnel are available for advice and consultation on the matters of occupational health. They must also make provisions for prompt medical assistance in the case of serious injury.
This regulation also spells out the requirements for first aid kits and a communication method for contacting an ambulance if needed in an emergency.
