Work Practices - Passageways, Load Ratings, & Fuses
Certain safety-related work practices apply to passageways and open spaces. Barriers or other means of guarding must be provided to ensure that work space for electrical equipment will not be used as a passageway during periods when energized parts of electrical equipment are exposed. Working spaces, walkways, and similar locations must be kept clear of cords.
No changes in circuit protection can be made to increase the load in excess of the load rating of the circuit wiring in existing installations.
Workers must use special tools insulated for the voltage when fuses are installed or removed with one or both terminals energized.
