Hot Work Permits
Hot work permits should only be issued by the authorized PAI on duty.
Permits should contain, at minimum, the following information:
- The type of work being performed and the tools associated with the work
- The location of the work being performed
- The name(s) of the individual(s) performing the work
- A check-list of steps necessary to ensure the safety of the work area, and any necessary protective equipment required for the work
- A date of issue and an expiration time
- The signatures of an authorized PAI and the individual(s) performing the work
