Notifying Employees of Monitoring Results
Employers must inform every employee - in writing - of their individual exposure assessment results. This must occur within five working days of receiving the results.
If the results illustrate levels of lead exposure (without the use of respirators) above the PEL, the employer must include a written notice that states the following:
- States that the employee's exposure exceeded the PEL
- Details the corrective action(s) taken or that will be taken to ensure exposure is soon at or below the PEL
Employers should keep a copy of this on file.
