Communication

If you are an entrant, let your attendant know whenever you notice a warning sign or a symptom of exposure to a dangerous substance. You should also let the attendant know any time you encounter a prohibited condition. For instance, if you discover that the ventilation system is not working or your hoist is not intended for human use, alert the attendant immediately. Your employer is required to take safety measures. If the employer has not done what is required, you must speak up, both for your own safety and for the safety of others. Encountering prohibited conditions is grounds for evacuation.

You also need to stay in communication with your attendant and let him or her know your status whenever necessary. You should be equipped with electronic communication devices if it is difficult to hear each other in the space.
