Exiting
You must exit the space immediately if any of the following things happen:
- The attendant or supervisor orders you to evacuate.
- There is a warning sign of a dangerous situation. This could include symptoms of exposure to a dangerous chemical, or warning signs that a wall might collapse.
- You detect a prohibited condition
- An evacuation alarm is activated. Please note that your monitoring equipment is supposed to be armed with an alarm, and you should also have flood sensors, such as a storm drain. Providing this equipment is your employer's duty, but you have the right to know whether your employer has done provided this equipment or not.
It is your employer's responsibility to make sure that you understand all of the foregoing requirements for exiting safely and carry them out.
