Falling Objects

When working from any height, objects that are not in use must be secured to prevent them from falling on anyone working below. Safety nets will help ensure that objects dropped during work do not injure anyone. Objects that do fall into a safety net must be removed as quickly as possible to avoid damaging the net or injuring a person who might fall onto the net. As a further protective measure, the controlling contractor must schedule work so that no one is working beneath a steel erection project without overhead protection, such as safety nets.
