Plumbing-up

Plumbing-up is the process of ensuring that a structure is perfectly vertical. If such a process is deemed necessary by a competent person, the equipment to perform this process must be installed during the steel erection process to ensure structural stability. Plumbing-up equipment must be installed before the structure is loaded with materials to ensure that the structure does not collapse or topple over. Once installed, plumbing-up equipment can only be removed with the approval of a competent person.
