Missed Targets
Injuries can occur when the tip of the nail gun fails to make full contact with the work piece and the discharged nail becomes a projectile. This can occur when nailing near the edge of a work piece, such as a plate, when positioning the safety contact is more difficult. Injuries have also occurred when a nail shot through plywood or oriented strand board sheeting missed a stud and became airborne.
