Roof Bracket Scaffolds
A roof bracket scaffold is a rooftop supported scaffold consisting of a platform resting on angular-shaped supports.
Roof bracket scaffolds must adhere to the following criteria:
- Scaffold brackets must be constructed to fit the pitch of the roof and must provide a level support for the platform.
- Brackets (including those provided with pointed metal projections) must be anchored in place by nails unless it is impractical to use nails. When nails are not used, brackets must be secured in place with first-grade manila rope of at least three-fourth inch diameter, or equivalent.
