General Requirements
One of the easiest ways to prevent slips, trips, and falls is good housekeeping practices. This means that the work site must be kept clean, orderly, and sanitary. All floors should be clean and dry, and walkways should be kept free from protruding nails, splinters, holes, or loose boards. Aisles must be kept clear and in good repair. In addition, they should be wide enough to allow for foot traffic and equipment. If wet work is done, there should be adequate drainage to prevent standing water.
