Certain practices can reduce needlesticks and other sharps injuries, such as discarding disposable piercing needles, tattoo needles, and razors into a sharps disposal container. Putting disposable razors into a sharps disposal container rather than the trash will protect the person changing or handling the trash bag from being cut by a used sharp.
