OPIM
OSHA lists the following as OPIM:
- These human bodily fluids:
- Semen
- Vaginal secretions
- Cerebrospinal fluid
- Synovial fluid
- Pleural fluid
- Pericardial fluid
- Peritoneal fluid
- Amniotic fluid
- Saliva in dental procedures
- Any bodily fluid that is visibly contaminated with blood
- All bodily fluids in situations where it is difficult or impossible to differentiate between body fluids
- Any loose tissue or organ (other than intact skin) from a living or dead human being
- Any of the following, if they are known or likely to be infected by HIV, HBV, or HCV:
- Cell, tissue, or organ cultures from humans or experimental animals
- Blood, organs, or tissues from humans or experimental animals
- Culture medium or other solutions (that is, a liquid or gel that supports the growth of microorganisms or cells, such as a petri dish)
