Required Clearance
There must be a minimum of 3 inches overhead and 2 inches laterally between the crane and any obstruction. Between parallel cranes, there must be adequate clearance. There must be clearance signs that warn of clearance limits.
When working near electricity, the dimension of the working space in the direction of access to live parts that may require examination, adjustment, servicing, or maintenance while live shall be a minimum of 2 feet, 6 inches.
