Safety Data Sheets
An important document that must accompany every hazardous chemical is called a Safety Data Sheet (or SDS).
An SDS provides important safety, health, and environmental information on a chemical. SDSs contain information such as substance identification, composition, hazards, first aid, handling and storage, exposure, and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Workers should know how to read and understand an SDS. They should locate and read the SDSs for chemicals with which they might come into contact.
