Monitoring
Employers must conduct regular inspections to monitor the operations for dipping, coating, and cleaning processes.
Employers must inspect the hoods and ductwork of ventilation systems for corrosion or damage at least quarterly during operation and prior to operation after a prolonged shutdown.
Employers must also ensure that the airflow is adequate at least quarterly during operation, and prior to operation after a prolonged shutdown.
Periodically, employers must inspect all dipping and coating equipment, including components as follow:
- Covers
- Drains
- Overflow piping
- Electrical systems
- Fire-extinguishing systems
Any problems that are identified during the monitoring process must be immediately corrected.
