Goggle Frames

Workers should also consider the type of frame the goggles have before selecting a pair. Remember, goggle frames must fit the worker's face well enough to form a protective seal around the eye area. Poorly fitted goggles will not provide enough protection to the eyes and face. There are two main types of frames:

Eyecup safety goggles cover both eye sockets completely. Workers can choose eyecup goggles with either direct or indirect ventilation, and with either rigid or flexible frames.

Cover safety goggles may be worn over glasses. Like eyecup goggles, they can be flexible or rigid. Workers can choose direct, indirect, or non-ventilated cover safety goggles.
