What If I Wear Glasses?
OSHA requires that employees who wear glasses or contacts use PPE that incorporates the employee's prescription. As an alternative, they can wear eye protection designed to be worn over prescription lenses. Remember that eyeglasses are not enough; workers who wear them must wear the required PPE.
Because dust and chemicals are particularly hazardous to workers who wear contacts, OSHA recommends that workers have an extra pair of glasses or contacts handy in case the worker loses a contact lens.
