Test in the Correct Order

You must always test the air in a confined space in THE FOLLOWING ORDER:

Test for proper oxygen levels.
Test for flammables and combustibles.
Test for toxic gases (such as hydrogen sulfide or carbon monoxide).

IMPORTANT: Many oxygen or combustible meters will not work or will display incorrect readings if the air has insufficient oxygen. ALWAYS MEASURE OXYGEN FIRST!
