Cylinder

Cylinders used to fuel hot work equipment have specific labeling and storage guidelines per OSHA regulations.

All portable cylinders used for the storage and shipment of compressed gases must be constructed and maintained in accordance the U.S. Department of Transportation's regulations.

Labeling

Compressed gas cylinders must be legibly marked for the purpose of identifying the gas content with either the chemical or the trade name of the gas contained therein. Such markings must be made by means of stenciling, stamping, or labeling, and must not be easily removed. Whenever practical, the marking must be located on the shoulder of the cylinder for easy reference.
