Soldering & Brazing
Soldering and brazing are similar to welding; however, the temperatures used for brazing are usually higher than those used for soldering. For this reason, the risk of hazardous vapor is much more of a concern when brazing.
When soldering or brazing, precautions should be taken to protect yourself and others from any hazardous filler metals and the vapors and gases they create. We will discuss hazardous filler metals later in the course.
