Employers must make hearing protectors available to all employees exposed to noise at the action level, and at no cost. The hearing protectors must be replaced as necessary.

Employers must make sure affected employees wear hearing protectors. Hearing protectors come in different types, and employees must be given the opportunity to select their hearing protectors from a variety of suitable types provided by the employer.
