Laser Safety Regulations - NFPA
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) publishes codes and standards to minimize the risk of fires and other hazards. NFPA Code 115: Laser Fire Protection provides criteria for the safe design, manufacture, installation, and use of lasers and associated equipment. It also provides recommended procedures for emergency preparedness and for responding to fire emergencies involving lasers. In addition, NFPA Code 70: National Electrical Code is the most widely used and accepted code for electrical installations, which covers laser installation and use.
