PPE
Personal protective equipment (PPE) for laser safety generally means eye protection in the form of goggles or spectacles, clothing, and barriers and other devices designed for laser protection.
The LSO is responsible for the selection, maintenance, training, and use of PPE, which will depend upon the class and type of laser used in your workplace.
It is important to note that personal protective equipment may not adequately reduce or eliminate hazards and can have serious limitations when used as the only control measure with Class 4 lasers or laser systems.
