Employee Training

In occupational settings where ionizing radiation exposure is a real threat, employers are responsible for establishing a training and information program for new employees, for employees who have been assigned new tasks that put them at risk of radiation exposure, and whenever a new radiation hazard is introduced into employees' work areas.

Employees are responsible for observing the provisions of OSHA's Ionizing Radiation Standard and their site-specific hazard communication program, and they are responsible for practicing work habits that encourage responsibility and accountability.
